With Summer break just around the corner, SAJH has some important information to provide to Parents & Guardians regarding end of year events at the school.

Grad Breakfast: June 27th

The St. Agnes PTA will be hosting a graduation breakfast for Grade 9 students on June 27th from 9:00-10:00 in the Library. If there are parents who would like to volunteer to cook, set up or serve, please reach out to Jarrett Feeney, Vice-Principal at jfeeney@hrsb.ca. Volunteers are asked to arrive at the school between 7:00-7:15.

Grad Rehearsal: June 27th

On June 27th, following the grad breakfast, Grade 9 students will transition to the Gymnasium to take part in a graduation rehearsal from 10:00-11:00. During the rehearsal, students will be provided with important details regarding gowns, lineup, seating, and entering/leaving the Gymnasium. All invited graduates are expected to attend.

Graduation: June 28th

The closing ceremony for Grade 9 students will take place on June 28th from 2:00-3:30 (approximate). Graduates are asked to be at the school at 1:15 to receive their gown and prepare for the ceremony. A reminder to parents that grad gown rentals are $15.00, and can be paid to Ms. Harrison in the main office. During the ceremony, students are asked to not wear ball caps and refrain from having electronic devices. Following the ceremony, graduates will be taken to the field for a class photo. Students and their family members are invited to remain at the school after the ceremony for refreshments that have been prepared by the St. Agnes PTA.  

Grade 9 Dance: June 28th

Grade 9 graduates are invited to a closing dance on June 28th from 7:00-9:30. Students are permitted to sign in a student from another school, provided the student is enrolled in junior high and is in good standing with their school. Students are reminded that our school policy for electronics use at school dances will be in effect.  

Report Cards: June 29th

The last day of school will take place on June 29th. This will be a condensed day with no scheduled classes. Students are expected to arrive at the regular time of 8:40, but will only be in the building to receive their report cards. Students will be excused from the building between 10:00-10:30.
