Morning Announcements - October 29

We acknowledge that we are in Mi'kma'ki, which is the traditional ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaq people.


Congratulations to the Junior Girls Cross Country Team who ran a terrific race and placed 5th overall in the Provincial Competition. 


Also a big congratulations  to Maggie Duck who ran a great race at the Provincial and came in the 15th place in individual competition.


Remembrance Day ceremony- There will be a brief meeting on Wednesday at the beginning of lunch in Mr. Carter’s room for any cadets interested in participating in the ceremony.


There will be a brief meeting for all drama club students today at the beginning of lunch in Ms. Tufts’ room (23). Please make sure you stop by.


Me to We  has started the “We Scare Hunger” food drive. We will be collecting donations for Feed Nova Scotia from Oct. 28 until Nov. 5. Students will come to classrooms to collect items in the afternoons. We are also having two bake sales at the 11:50 bell on Wednesday, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6 with proceeds going to Feed Nova Scotia. Items will cost 1$ or a food donation.

 

A writing contest is open to students in Grade 8 for a chance to see Barack Obama in Halifax on November 13th. Please see the details on on our school website. Contest open until November 5th.
