Morning Announcements - Thursday, February 14

  • ​​Me to We will be collecting items to support Shelter Nova Scotia. This is our last week. Check the classroom lists that are posted or bring in any other items we have been collecting over the last four weeks.  We really need your help and would appreciate any donations.
  • ​​Help us celebrate African Heritage on Friday February 15th by wearing clothing that is either red, black, green, or yellow. These colours are often featured on many of the flags of Africa, and Caribbean countries.

            - Red often symbolizes the sacrifices and struggles of people living in that area.

            - Black often symbolizes the people.

            - Green often symbolizes the fertility of the land and a livelihood dependent on farming and agriculture.

            - Yellow often symbolizes mineral wealth, the sun and prosperity.

  • ​​On Friday February 15th we will host Mary's African Cuisine at St. Agnes Junior High School. All students and staff are welcome to try a small plate of food from Ghana between 11:45 and 12:30.
  • ​The Canadian Home & School Federation is promoting this week, February 11-15th,  as Teacher-Staff Appreciation Week. The purpose of this week is to encourage parents and the wider community to recognize the personal and professional contributions that our teachers and school staff make to children and their education.​
  • Yearbooks are now on sale! Get yours for just $35 until February 21st with the option for a $5 custom personalization! Yearbooks can be purchased online through the St. Agnes website or you can grab a form from Ms. Harrison in the office.
